The water level of many rivers including Ganga, Son, Punpun, Dardha, Gandak, Jiraiyan and Falgu is continuously increasing. The danger of flood has increased in some areas of Buxar, Patna, Vaishali district. The water level of Ganga has gone above the red mark in Digha, Gandhi Ghat of Patna, Hathidah of Begusarai, Kahalgaon of Bhagalpur. People are terrified about the danger of flood. Due to the increase in the water level of rivers in many areas including Patna, Buxar, Bhagalpur, erosion has also increased. Crops planted in many acres in Buxar have drowned. Flood water has entered some areas of Gaya and Vaishali. According to the Water Resources Department, the water level of rivers is increasing due to rain in the mountains.
People are troubled in these areas of Patna
The water level of Ganga in Patna has once again risen above the danger mark. In view of the danger of flood in the Diara area, the district administration has closed 76 government schools in Patna till further orders. People are facing problems due to waterlogging in Mahavir Ghat, Kangan Ghat, Gai Ghat, Fatuha, Kolhachak areas of Patna. The administration has appealed to the people living in low-lying areas to remain alert.
Five people were swept away by the strong current
While crossing the bridge on Batane river at Amba in Aurangabad, five people were swept away by the strong current. Out of these, three people have been rescued safely. The NDRF team is searching for the other two. It is being told that an alternative bridge was arranged to cross the Batane river to go from Dev to Amba, over which there was a very strong flow of water. Late on Tuesday night, five people were crossing the bridge on the same bike. This accident happened during this time.
